Snacktime Kids

The black-haired crew:

The pale-haired crew:

The brown-haired crew:

and now, the "guts", if you will...

Look at that adorable (slightly grimy) face!

There's a battery compartment hidden in her tummy...

...that pulls out for easy adult access, but is hard for little fingers...

The compartment has a screwed-on lid:
Batteries 2:

Once the batteries are installed, the compartment seals with Velcro. The "snacks" go into that adorable little mouth ("Jaws", anyone?) and come out that hole in the back:

The backpack acts as the on/off switch. Nothing happens unless the backpack is installed. Notice that the backpack is sewn onto the clothing:

There's a recall on these Kids. If the batteries are working, and the backpack is attached, the Kid will chew whatever fits in the mouth, including hair and fingers. There were some pretty interesting injuries with human children having their hair eaten. They are not considered safe to play with. That said, they won't be able to eat anything if their batteries are missing!

I like Sandy and Chuck. Terrible terrible. I like a couple of the dark haired ones, but I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need more than 2!

one thing i don't get, is that, if the doll was eating hair, why couldn't they just take the batteries out? like before bed,(i heard some girls slept with them) they could just take the batteries out and put the doll in a different outfit.
Anyway, I wish I could get one of them. they are not too hard to find as I have stared to notice on ebay.
