Popcorn Strings, Revisited!

I'm trying different configurations of popcorn strings.

 I usually use "five figure-eight wraps and an overhand knot" and repeat until the popcorn string is long enough.

 Classic mass-market Kids have eight popcorn strings on each of their double ponies - or so I'm told, I don't actually HAVE an original popcorn Kid.

 Eight popcorn strings with the five-wraps configuration?  Oh, my goodness, that's a lot of hair!  Very cute, very plush, but wow, the mass!

 Above, you see two-wrap strings, three-wrap strings, four-wrap strings, and five-wrap strings; each with a total of 120 wraps each.

 I think my new favorite is the three-wrap configuration. Plushy but not overwhelming - and the Kid is not as top-heavy.
