Puffy Pigtails, sort of...

Then I became fascinated with the softie puffy pigs kids...

 This is a technique-in-progress.  I'm not happy with the front of the head, and I don't like the visible strands behind the ears.

 However, it's REALLY quick and easy, and doesn't take much yarn.

 This was a bald kid with scalp issues.
Next time, the overlapping center "part" will extend further down the forehead.

Back of the head.  You can see the overlapping instead of centered "part."

Next time, the strands rooted close to the ears will be rooted further back in the skull.
